You aren't going to believe this but I feel compelled to comment on the flowers and birds in your photos! Actually I am also glad that that the consistency of the mud seems to be improving and that there were no stories about having jump around while you were eating to keep the mosquitoes at bay.
Having said that ... the warbler appears to be a Yellow-rumped Warbler rather than a Yellow Warbler. Big difference but you probably have a slight hearing loss like your father. The plant with the beautiful blue berries is a Yellow Clintonia. (Not named for those Clintons, I don't think.) The white flower is probably a Seriocarpus, a kind of aster.
At Highland Retreat today we found a young Five-lined Skink with a flourescent blue tail. Very cool. I think that I have some pretty good pix.
