End of first hiking section.

This is a tube of butter. I'm counting on this idea making me rich.

This is everyone drying out after the morning storm. We were lucky to get some sun.

The "view" at the highest point on the A.T.

And the rain. Note the sudden river over the path.

Tub jumping.

Hey Ryan, I remember hiking the Clingman's Dome portion many years ago and getting rained on so hard that I felt like lying down on the trail and dying. Even though the sign said the shelter was only about 0.1 miles away it seemed like that was just too far to go so I'd better give up. It was probably the worst hiking section I've ever done in terms of my mental state. I hate rain (when hiking that is), and the Smokey Mountains have so much of it. Glad to hear you made it through in flying colors! Thanks for all the bloggging.
